We are all so blessed to live in this wonderful district. Our neighborhoods are safe. We have ample greenspace for our families to enjoy, and our schools are excellent. I want to make sure we keep it that way.

I commit to listening to the wonderful people of district 49 and doing everything I can to facilitate their wants and needs. Sometimes even small changes can have great impact.

 As a father of seven, I understand the incredible gift of a child. I also know that everyone has their own personal beliefs on a women's maternal rights. I have mine as well. But I would never put my personal believes above the health decision-making of a woman and her doctor.

 I believe the people of Georgia deserve the funds granted to us by the federal government. We have a problem with hospital closures in our most vulnerable areas. Accepting the expansion of Medicaid will help to mitigate many ofthe problems we face. 

I grew up camping in the North Georgia mountains. Unicoi  and Vogel State Parks were our favorites. I earned my Junior Ranger badges at age 12. Greenspace in our local areas is essential to quality of life. We must continue to grow these areas and add new ones whenever possible.

This is a big one for me. The people who work to keep us safe and secure are paramount to our quality of life. I will work tirelessly to create a better work environment for our essential workers, including our caretakers, public servants, firefighters, police officers, teachers, counselors, parks and recreation specialists, and so many others. These individuals need to be better taken care of so they can continue to take care of us.
